Barbara Tyson (born October 1, 1964) is a Canadian actress known for appearing in hit TV series Neon Rider, Cold Squad, ER and The Twilight Zone. One of her first notable television roles was in Another World as Dawn "Ivy" Rollo, the first HIV-positive character to be introduced in a daytime soap opera in the United States. [1]

Tyson died on January 28, 2021, at the age of 96. [66] Her funeral was held February 16 at the Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem, and was attended by Tyler Perry, her godson Lenny Kravitz, and Bill and Hillary Clinton. [68] Tyson was interred in Woodlawn Cemetery (Bronx, New York) with former husband Miles Davis.
