Banana is a 2015 British television series created by Russell T Davies and aired on E4. The sister series to Channel 4's Cucumber and the 4oD documentary series Tofu, Banana is a series focusing on LGBT youth in Manchester, around the narrative of Cucumber.
Through eight stand-alone stories, this series follows different aspects of LGBT life. Each episode focuses on the unique storyline of a diverse character dealing with life, loves and losses. Scotty is a young lesbian dealing with unrequited love, while Dean harbors family secrets and has an affair with a mystery man from Newcastle.
