For your personal email, are you using https://outlook.live.com/ to login to your account. For your school account, you should use https://outlook.office.com/ . Because your school account uses a different url, it is not necessary to logout of your personal account.

Go to the Outlook.com sign-in page and select Sign in. Enter your email address or phone number and select Next . On the Enter password page, clear Keep me signed in .
Hotmail is now Outlook.com. To sign in to your Hotmail account, go to www.outlook.com and select Sign in. If you have forgotten your username or password, use our sign-in troubleshooter, but note that if you haven't signed in to your account for more than 2 years, your account may have been deleted.
