1. Satan bound for a thousand years – In chapter 19, we see Jesus’ second coming. He defeats the armies of the world that are arrayed against Him. He defeats the Antichrist and the false prophet. Then what? The next step is to bind Satan himself. An angel comes down from heaven and binds Satan for a thousand years.
What does Revelation chapter 20 mean? In prior chapters, John described his vision of the final judgments on earth, leading up to the defeat of the Antichrist and the False Prophet at Armageddon. Following that conflict, the two Satanic figureheads are cast into the lake of fire.
