From v2.4.0, the auto-click interval's minimum, maximum and step values can be changed in the config file of the mod. For example, you could now set the minimum to 5 ticks, the maximum to 100 ticks (5 seconds) and the step to 5 ticks. Every click to change the interval would raise it by 5 ticks. NOTE: This mod is client-side only.
