A.S.A.P. Publishing is a small fine art press that produces limited edition mystery and fantasy books. Our first publication was in 1991. Since then, we have published works from many notable authors.

All of the presses on this list meet all of our guiding principles, but most of them have such a specific focus that we cannot justify writing a full review and sending it to our full list of subscribers. But they are still good publishers.
- Persea Books. Founded by Michael Braziller and Karen Braziller in 1975, Persea Books is an independent publishing house based in New York City. Some of their most renowned authors are Christine de Pizan, Laura Riding, and Anzia Yezierska.
- Seven Stories Press. Seven Stories Press was founded in 1995 by Dan Simon. Their books cover a wide range of genres and topics, with many of them having been initially written in French, Greek, Arabic, Russian, Polish, and in many other languages.
- Joshua Tree Publishing. A Chicago-based company founded in 1985, Joshua Tree provides assistance and support through every step of the publishing process.
- Black Lyon Publishing. Black Lyon is an Oregon-based publishing company that was established in 2007. They are recognized by the Romance Writers of America and operated by a former corporate marketing executive with an experience of more than 20 years.
