Aug 27, 2018 · Check Alli’s vetted list for publishers clearly marked in red with a history of problems. These are definitely ones to avoid. You will find alerts for problematic book publishers, such as AuthorHouse, Dog Ear Publishing, Dorrance Publishing, and Page Publishing, just to name a few.

May 1, 2019 · Burning Chair Submissions: This indie publishers is open for submissions and accepting unsolicited manuscripts from a variety of different genres. Information about what they’re looking for, and how to submit, is available online.
They have so many negative reviews. I’m hoping that someone has had a positive experience with them. I published with Authorhouse a few years ago and unfortunately, the reviews are true. I’ve had an unpleasant experience and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.
Jul 7, 2021 · I received a request for a full MS from a small press publisher in December 2020 and as you can imagine, was rightly celebrating. In January this year, my hopes were raised further when said publisher sent me 2 A4 pages of detailed strengths and weaknesses of my story, including suggested revisions.
