  5. Feb 1, 2016 · A co-founder of Gorilla Biscuits, the bassist appeared on the band's 1989 seminal Start Today album, a record that remains one of Revelation Records' all-time best-selling titles. After Gorilla Biscuits broke up in the '90s, Smilios, along with two other members of the band, formed CIV.

  6. Gorilla Biscuits were formed when Arthur Smilios and Nick Drysdale met Anthony "Civ" Civarelli while they were both attending the same high school in Queens, New York. All three were fans of the band Agnostic Front, and started going to hardcore shows at CBGB on weekends.
