   Arte website has a live tv page but I am not sure it is accessible outside of France or Germany. In any case I don't think there is anywhere a live tv that also displays subtitles live (maybe during movies but that's all).

There can be some live streams now and again when something major happens in France; for example, I watched the Notre Dame fire in real time from a live stream from BFMTV.

   Where to watch French videos?

   • france.tv: this is the mainstream public television in France. Most videos will be geo-blocked. However, its education branch is much more open, which is great since one can learn a lot of interesting topics, many of which are in the French proficiency exams. The majority of videos include subtitle and/or transcription.
