Arthur William Matthew Carney (November 4, 1918 – November 9, 2003) was an American actor and comedian. A recipient of an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and six Primetime Emmy Awards, he was best known for his role as Ed Norton on the sitcom The Honeymooners (1955–1956).

Art Carney (1918–2003) was an American actor who had a long and varied career. He won an Academy Award for best actor for his role in the movie Harry and Tonto (1974), but he is probably best known for playing Ed Norton on the TV show The Honeymooners (1955–56).
Carney was married three times; first to Jean Myers from 1940 until they divorced in 1965. Second, he was married to Barbara Isaac from 1966 until they divorced in 1977. Last, he was remarried to Jean Myers from 1980 until his death in 2003. Carney had three children with Myers.
