Season 4 is great - it’s just different. It’s worth watching if you’re watching the original cut (under trailers and more on Netflix), the recut version ruins a lot of long-term build up jokes. But s4 has some of my fave AD. Season 5 is fine. That’s about it.

you can find the original season 4 under the section "trailers and more" on the arrested development page on netflix. you can see the episodes labeled as "episode 1: original cut" or something like this. the only bad part is that you gotta binge watch it or remember where you stopped because the player won't keep track of your progress
I'm aware that there are two version of season 4 avaliable to view on netflix, the original where each episode focuses on a different character across a similar time span, and the remixed version that is a mish-mash of the original edited into a style closer to the original series.
