As the season progressed, you saw more and more how each character was interwoven in the life of the others in ways even they didn’t notice, understand, or appreciate. If seasons 1-3 are a master class on foreshadowing, season 4 is a doctoral thesis on dramatic irony.
The big difference between 4 and 5 to me is that in Season 4 it felt like they were still *inventing* things--Herbert Love, Cinco de Quattro, GOB's entourage; there was tons of new stuff. So much of Season 5 on the other hand was mostly just rehashing stuff from Season 4.
Original cut is supreme. However the remix did add one joke that I really loved: When the family is gathering after Lucile hijacks the Queen Mary, there's a moment where GOB and Tobias sit next to each other and they each have their own seperste "Sound of Silence" playing. That moment killed me. Just don’t do it.

Arrested Development season 4 had a good start, but many felt that season 5 was bad because of its uneven ending. Netflix debuted all of season 4 in May of 2013, marking the revival of the previously canceled cult favorite. It did well, earning 3 Emmy nominations, and Netflix debuted a season 5 in 2018, 5 years after the original revival. Unfortuna...
Netflix has not announced plans for a season 6, and many believe it is unlikely to come at all. Arrested Development's cancelation (despite its massive critical acclaim) suggested that something special was there – something underappreciated by viewers during its original run. Unfortunately, it seems like that spark has died out and that season 5 w...
