The Secret Garden is a 1975 British television adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett's 1911 novel of the same name. Adapted, produced and directed by Dorothea Brooking, it was first broadcast on BBC 1 in seven 30-minute episodes. [1] This is the only BBC adaptation of the novel known to exist in its entirety.

Oct 31, 2020 · When spoilt young orphan Mary Lennox is brought back from India to live in her uncle’s house on the Yorkshire Moors, she finds the blunt ways of the staff at Misselthwaite Manor an unpleasant shock. Bored and miserable, it seems as though life in England will be awful.
With the help of a robin, Mary discovers a forgotten walled garden, abandoned and overgrown. There she meets young Dickon (Andrew Harrison) – a local village lad – and makes him promise to keep the garden their secret.
