Ari Posner (born 1970) is a Canadian film and television composer, most noted as a multiple Gemini Award and Canadian Screen Award winner for his television scores. [1] A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, he moved to Toronto, Ontario, in 1989 to study music at York University. [2]
The son of Gerry and Sherna Posner, Ari learned that playing a musical instrument – or singing can bring so much joy to people (something with which his father was well acquainted after having performed in so many comedic musical performances at the Shaarey Zedek over the years), while his mother was an accomplished pianist.
Ari Posner is a Canadian music composer for film and television. He studied composition and improvisation at York University’s Fine Arts Program. Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Posner is now based in Toronto, Ontario.
