- Season 4. The late James Gandolfini is correctly lauded for his once-in-a-generation performance as Tony Soprano, but even the mighty Gandolfini couldn't carry a show with acting of this magnitude all by himself.
- Season 6B. The confounding closing scene tends to gobble up the discourse surrounding the second half of the final season of "The Sopranos" (or, if you prefer, "Season 7").
- Season 5. For the majority of its run, "The Sopranos" essentially operates under Stan Lee's "Illusion of Change" paradigm. Surrounding circumstances shift for provisional periods of time, but with a few exceptions, the show always reverts back to its original status quo ...
- Season 3. In the third year of "The Sopranos," Tony's headaches mostly originate from within the DiMeo crime family. Jackie Aprile Jr. (Jason Cerbone), the entitled scion of Tony's deceased predecessor, starts dating Meadow.

● No. of episodes: 13 The first season of The Sopranos did a great job at planting the seeds for one of the most popular TV shows ever made. In it, Tony spotted a former FBI informant while taking ...
● No. of episodes: 13 What helps the second season stand out as the best season of The Sopranos is the introduction of the DiMeo Crime Family's former capo Richie Aprile. Tony always had to deal with a lot of foes but none gave him a harder time than Richie. He had the same effect on the series that Lalo had on Better Call Saul. Before him, the sho...
