  2. Screamers (1995) oh man it is frustrating how close this movie is to being great! Based on a Philip K Dick story. Premise is great, the paranoia once it settles in communications from earth are "deep fakes" of a commander thats been dead for two years.

  3. I like both sci-fi and horror, and this looked like a great Terminator-esque hard sci-fi movie. Boy was that wrong. Although Peter Weller did a pretty good job, the plot felt disjointed the entire movie. And then there’s the surprise twist: everyone’s a screamer. No exceptions.

  4. Screamers is not a bad movie, there's genuine trade craft on display and there's clear passion in front of and behind the camera, but one can't help feeling a sense of deja vu thinking they've seen this movie before but better.

  5. Still a great adaptation of a great novella. Peter Weller is perfectly cast and gives a really strong performance. The effects however, having been mediocre at best when it was made, are now flat out horrible for the most part despite some really nice creature designs.
