Natal and neonatal teeth are a rare occurrence and may be associated with anxiety and culturally prevalent misconceptions. Of the total 52 teeth, 28 were natal teeth (18 cases) and 24 were neonatal teeth (15 cases) and all were located in mandibular central incisor region.
Natal teeth are three times more common than neonatal teeth. The incidence of natal and neonatal teeth ranges from 1 : 2,000 to 1 : 3,500 [19, 23] . The radiographic examination is essential to differentiate the premature eruption of a primary deciduous tooth from a supernumerary tooth .
