Jun 3, 2022 · One of the traits that makes Greek mythology so enduring and endearing to time and history is that the gods have human qualities – good and bad. They value loyalty but they are also fiercely jealous.
So, which members of Greek Myths can be considered somewhat good, or pure based on their actions? This is not a question for homework or anything like that, just curious because you have media like Percy Jackson that paint the Greek Gods in a good light but the actual myths tell a very different tale.
- Zeus. The god of the sky and the monarch of the Olympian Gods was Zeus. Although he is described in numerous mythologies as being kind, smart, and righteous, he also had a vicious and vengeful side.
- Cronus. Before the rule of the Olympians, Cronus was the king of the Titans and exercised an iron grip. Together with his four brothers, Cronus overthrew their father Uranus.
- Eris. Eris was the goddess of strife, contention, disagreement, and conflict. She would prowl the battlefield and used to get delighted in the violence of combat.
- Hades. In Greek mythology, Hades, the Lord of the Underworld, is connected to the afterlife and is frequently portrayed as a menacing and evil figure.
