1 The college operates a policy that no dog/cat or other animal should be allowed onto college property. The only exceptions are: Where an unregistered dog is passing through the College campus via a public right of way. The dog is not entitled to roam away from the path. For this fully practical course, you will bring your own dog and learn about choice and use of equipment, and grooming skills relevant to your dog. Activities will include brushing out, bathing, drying, nail clipping and ear cleaning.
You will learn how to care for and look after a range of animals, from housing and feeding requirements, to handling, behaviour, health and exercise. You will learn the theory behind the what, when, why and how and then carry this out in practical sessions.
