Aug 14, 2024 · CCI’s Mini-Mag 40-grain Segmented HP proved to be the best shooting load in my rifle. Considering the small game I hunt and this load’s terminal performance, it should do nicely. If I find it on the shelf, I’ll buy in bulk.
Aug 10, 2012 · The regular CCI Subsonic HP's (#0056) are about as good as it gets (if pass-thru's are acceptable). They are the most accurate thing I've ever shot, and probably the cleanest raccoon killer out there. But I have had some pass-thru's (thru the animal being dispatched, and thru the wooden fence).

First was the Eley Subs Xtra Plus, which has a newer, lighter wax lubricant covering. The bullet weighs 40.2 grains of hollowpoint design. This is intended to give superior stopping power.
