Apocalypse: Never-Ending War 1918–1926 (in French: Apocalypse, La Paix Impossible 1918–1926) is a two-part television series retracing the difficult peace that followed the First World War. It was broadcast in France on France 2 on November 11, 2018 and in Canada on Ici RDI on November 7 and 8, 2018.
In the aftermath of war, the Russian, German, Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman Empires fall apart, currencies fluctuate wildly, and vast numbers of refugees flee misery. Before long, age-old hatreds fears and resentments resurface and drive the world to the brink of a new Apocalypse.
11 November 1918. The world emerges from the worst conflict ever known. While the victors build a new world order, traumatized peoples rebuild their lives. In the years to come, the major empires collapse while hatred and fear resurface, leading the world to a new apocalypse.
