Biologist here. Wolves are supposed to have 6 post-canine teeth in the upper jaw, while lions are supposed to have only 4. It’s hard to get an accurate count, but there seem to be fewer than 6. The jaw seems rather short, like that of an obligate carnivore, which lions are but wolves aren’t.
