To open Gmail, you can log in from a computer, or add your account to the Gmail app on your phone or tablet. Once you've signed in, check your email by opening your inbox.
1. On your computer, go to gmail.com.
2. Enter your Google Account email address or phone number and password.
• If information is already filled in and you need to sign in to a different account, click Use another account.
• If you see a page describing Gmail instead of the sign-in page, click Sign in in the top-right corner of the page.

- Steps: Visit the Gmail page. Gmail is free for everyone, and you do not need another email address to sign up. Set up your account. Enter the information requested, click "Agree to Gmail Terms and Services" and create your account.
- Mail Fetcher: Set up Mail Fetcher in your Gmail account. Mail Fetcher is a free feature that lets you download email messages from 5 different email accounts (that support POP access).
- Auto Forward: Log in to AOL mail. Setting up an automatic forwarding process in your AOL to your Gmail account will automatically redirect all AOL emails to your Gmail.
- Export: Go to the beta webmail page at AOL. Click on "Contacts". It's located on the left hand side bar. Click "Export". It's located next to the "find contacts" search bar.
