Mar 20, 2024 · An almost six-week trial at Chelmsford Crown Court concluded on Monday. Today, Wednesday 20 March, a jury unanimously found D’Wit, 34, of Churchfields, West Mersea, guilty of both murders. He will be sentenced on Friday 22 March. Carol and Stephen Baxter.
It was just before 20:00 BST on 7 April 2023 when D'Wit double-locked the front door of Mr and Mrs Baxter's house on West Mersea, Essex, and began the short walk home.
