Apr 26, 2023 · Initiated and led by Angelica Jopling, the daughter of White Cube founder Jay Jopling, Incubator seeks to foster a vibrant community for burgeoning artists, amplifying their work through a programme of solo and group exhibitions.
Based on London’s self-consciously well-heeled Chiltern Street, Incubator is the now permanent home for gallerist Angelica Jopling’s brainchild, which began life as a year-long series of pop-ups dedicated to exhibiting solo shows by unknown artists from all walks of life.
Apr 28, 2022 · “ Incubator is ephemeral by nature,” says founder and curator Angelica Jopling, explaining her dynamic series of week-long consecutive exhibitions. “The programme is constructed to be so fast-paced that each show is practically over as soon as it’s begun.”
Apr 4, 2023 · Nonetheless, being a legacy gallerist has undeniable perks and Jopling acknowledges that her ability to learn the ropes of the commercial art world has been quite unparalleled.
Apr 27, 2022 · “I think Incubator can serve as a new model for presenting emerging artists in London,” says curator Angelica Jopling of her renewed exhibition series Incubator 22, which will showcase the work of six emerging artists at A. Society on Chiltern Street.
Angelica Jopling is the Founding Director of Incubator, a dynamic space in London that provides a platform for emerging artists to showcase their work.
