When I meet Angelica Jopling at her small gallery, on a bright autumn day during London’s Frieze art fair, I am immediately struck by how down-to-earth and unassuming the 26-year-old is in her manner—a perhaps elevated response given her progeny of London power gallerist, Jay Jopling, of White Cube.
Jul 2, 2024 · ANGELICA JOPLING: Incubator started as a pop-up exhibition space in between COVID lockdowns. It was, in a way, a response to the lack of exhibition spaces for emerging artists, especially important at a time when those graduating from art schools were forced to do online exhibitions and so very few people could see their work in person.
Angelica Jopling is the Founding Director of Incubator, a dynamic space in London that provides a platform for emerging artists to showcase their work.
