The Texas Tech University baseball program started in 1926. Chuck Harrison was the first Red Raider to make it to the Major League level. Names that appear on the chart above in bold print are in the Texas Tech University Hall of Fame.

The roster currently includes 45 players but will need to cut down to at least 40 before the start of the season.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders baseball team represents Texas Tech University in NCAA Division I college baseball. The team competes in the Big 12 Conference and plays at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. Their head coach is Tim Tadlock and is entertaining his 9th season with the Red Raiders.
He became Texas Tech's first MLB Draft pick as he was taken in the 27th Round of the 1969 MLB Draft by the Cleveland Indians. Haggard advanced as high as the AAA Portland Beavers of the Pacific Coast League that same year at the age of 23.
