26 x 25 minute episodes. This charming sequel to And Mother Makes Three saw scatter-brained widow Sally Harrison (Wendy Craig) re-marry. Her new husband was widower and antiquarian bookseller David Redway (Richard Coleman), who also had a child of his own, Jane (Maxine Gordon).
Sally's accused of mollycoddling when she discovers that Simon smokes, seeing him boozing and womanising in the pub makes things worse, and inviting his girl round for tea suggests that she has reason to be worried.
