The American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA) is a private drama school with two locations, one in New York City and one in Los Angeles. The academy offers an associate degree in occupational studies and teaches drama and related arts in the areas of theater, film, and television.
Founded in 1964, AMDA New York is located in one of Manhattan’s most iconic neighborhoods, the Upper West Side. The AMDA campus is surrounded by some of the world’s most renowned performance and arts venues, including the Broadway Theater District, Lincoln Center, and numerous museums.

Students graduating from the Two-Year Full-Time Conservatory Program at our New York campus are awarded the degree of Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS).
Once the second year is complete, select graduates may go on to our Third-Year Company to earn a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Acting.
