Mar 30, 2007 · Like so many of conservatism’s postwar “founding fathers,” van den Haag was a former radical and refugee from totalitarian Europe. Born in Holland and raised in Italy, he was a twenty-three-year-old Communist and law student at the University of Florence when Mussolini’s Fascist government imprisoned him in 1937.
Alf Teichs (1904–1992) was a German screenwriter and film producer. During the Nazi era, Teichs was head of production at Terra Film. After the Second World War, Teichs set up Comedia-Film with the comedian Heinz Rühmann.
Alf Teichs was born on 18 December 1904 in Dresden, Saxony, Germany. He was a producer and writer, known for Frau Irene Besser (1961), Goal in the Clouds (1939) and Ruf der Wildgänse (1961). He died on 14 January 1992 in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
