Alf Teichs (1904–1992) was a German screenwriter and film producer. During the Nazi era, Teichs was head of production at Terra Film. After the Second World War, Teichs set up Comedia-Film with the comedian Heinz Rühmann.
Ab 1963 leitete Teichs den Aufbau der Abteilung Fernsehen bei der Deutschen Buchgemeinschaft Darmstadt. 1969 wurde er selbständiger Fernsehproduzent mit seiner Ursina Film- und Fernsehproduktion GmbH Hamburg.

The High Life (German: Das kunstseidene Mädchen; French: La Grande Vie) is a 1960 French, West German and Italian film directed by Julien Duvivier, based on the novel Das kunstseidene Mädchen (The Artificial Silk Girl) by Irmgard Keun.
Plot. On a train journey, penniless composer Thomas meets rich publisher Melanie. The two get married and Melanie gets Thomas a lucrative job in her publishing house. However, Melanie turns out to be a jealous control freak and Thomas is unhappy in their marriage.
