Alan Lazar (born on December 15, 1967) is a South African-born composer and novelist. He has written music for 50+ films and TV shows, including a string of Netflix movies. He was a member of the South African band Mango Groove and is the author of the book ROAM. He became a US citizen in 2010.
Alan co-founded, produces and composes for the BMG Luminary Scores catalog. Prior to that, he founded and built the 391 album Lalela Music catalog, which has enjoyed millions of performances globally and was sold to Hollywood studio STX Entertainment in 2017.
