   May 30, 2015 · I was fortunate enough to have the original instruction booklet come with the unit and by the diagrams within it, I can tell everything is there including the spanners and metho bottle and many spare parts, some unused. A Companion metho bottle was also included. The grate with the ALADDIN embossing is often missing when you see these units.

   Oct 30, 2020 · The wick, part number 159905 for the 3” burner is still available, along with other parts from suppliers in England, such as Base Camp. You must soak a new wick for about an hour before you light it. There are instructions available for changing the wick, but if you cannot find them online, PM me.

   Mar 22, 2015 · I originally posted this on the stove site for identification. Robbo55 came to the rescue and identified it as an Aladdin. This has the wrong stove parts on it but hopefully I can source the right ones. I'll put an Aladdin 1A lamp on it and take some photos, soonish. Attached Files: 1434542700-aladdin_stove-heater.jpg.

If I remember correctly the heat output spec is 5000-9000 BTU. It's not quite adjustable over that full range as you'll need to adjust the wick for a nice blue flame.

   • Aladdin Australia did release a heater/cooker in 1930. Now, 1930 pre-dates the release of the Radius based lanterns. I think it is very possible that Aladdin did base their early heater/cookers on Svea.

   • Good to see your Aladdin heater up and running. The standard procedure for re-lighting a silent burner is with a naked flame (match or lighter). That is because when you shut it off there is no residual flame in the burner to reignite the vapourised kerosene. Thanks for the response Tony.

   • Fast forward to 1950 odd, when my heater/cooker, of this design, was released and there are only vague similarities to the Svea of the 1920's that you linked to. Hi @Matty I thought your Aladdin Ind. Heater/Cooker was very Like my Svea No.36 from the 1930s.

    However I discovered the hoses to the eyeball vents go nowhere as the heater is a Smiths FHR4325/09 model which was fitted to S1 Elans and it has no vents on the back of the box! I am thinking of fitting two outlets on the back as shown in the parts book for an S4.
