Jan 17, 2018 · I would order a kit where it says made for E32, E34, E31 heater valves, and including the cone valves. (just in case yours are broken) When you install the new cone valves, check and compare the shaft length of the cone valve.

Nov 11, 2017 · The heater core and heater control valve are used in both the A/C and heating modes of the IHKA system. The IHKA module, amongst other things, sends a pulsed signal to control the heater control valve, during both heating and cooling modes, to maintain the set temperature in the cabin you have set.
Feb 27, 2021 · I was able to use part of the old valve, and the head/innerds from the new junk valve. You drill the pop rivet and take it out, then the top rotates to align the crimps with the slots in the body of the valve, and it comes apart.
Jan 3, 2019 · Check the BY-PASS valve under the little plastic cover on top of the ventilation fan housing. If cables are stuck, or broken, just operate the valve by hand.....when you look at it, it will all make sense. Twice a year, I take off cover, and operate valve based on the season. Easy, easy, easy.
Aug 25, 2016 · Some heater control valves will be located in the engine compartment at or near the passenger side firewall. Others are located behind the dashboard near the passenger footwell. Refer to the factory service manual for your vehicle to determine the exact location.
