Dec 30, 2020 · R56 climate control panel removal. As title really anybody know how to remove the heater control unit on an r56..its not the lcd version just bog standard. I need to check the wiring at the back on the de mist buttons etc as my heating and demist are intermittent.
So in this video I had to replace the heater blower motor that involved completely removing the dashboard on a mini cooper r56 2007.I thought I would capture...

Mar 27, 2013 · How do you remove the manual heater/automatic climate control panel out of a Gen 1 MINI. Is there a 'How To' on the net lurking somewhere? Either that I will have to dig out the Haynes manual to see if that sheds any light on the subject.
Feb 1, 2009 · The panel is much easier to remove, simply two screws with star shaped heads easily visible and a wiggle and it is free. The model of the unit is a Valeo 669183E and some are available second hand online.
Oct 4, 2024 · The IHKA or climate control panel is located in the center dashboard. This is the control for your heating and ventilation system. The most common portion of this control to fail is the blower motor control. It may seem as if the blower resistor is faulty, but replacing it doesn't remedy the issue.
Nov 4, 2013 · If you drop the front of the heater down, by undoing the two screws that hold it into the lower dash rail at either end of the centre switch panel, you should find a wire coming out of the top of the heater and joining into the loom.
Dec 31, 2013 · This forum is mainly for the classic mini. You will probably have better luck on the MINI2 forum getting help with your problem. Try using a multimeter and go through all the connections one by one checking for continuity. By the sound of it you have either broken the circuit or bypassed the heater controls.
