Akio Morita (盛田 昭夫, Morita Akio, January 26, 1921 – October 3, 1999) was a Japanese entrepreneur and co-founder of Sony along with Masaru Ibuka.
Morita represented at least the possibility of genuine communication between Japan and the United States. That possibility survives Morita's death; it is the legacy of a great man.
