Once in a while a few elk will walk through the campsites.
Some groceries are available at the Marina Store at Woods Canyon Lakes which is approximately three miles from the campground. The store also offers boat and kayak rentals. This lake is a great location for fishing.

Directions from Heber: The entrance is located on State Highway 260 approximately 4.5 miles east of the Rim Visitor Information Station or 19 miles west of Heber, Arizona. General Notes: Natural Features: Canyon Point lies in a forested area above the Mogollon Rim at an elevation of 7,500 ft.
