  8. Cottonwood is about 7 miles from the North Rim, along the upper reaches of Bright Angel Creek. It's a nice spot with campsites alongside the North Kaibab Trail. It's the most remote camping option on the rim-to-rim. Indian Garden Campground is the only campsite on the south side of the Colorado River, just off the Bright Angel Trail.
