As a child, Anna Holm burned her face. This destroyed her looks and she grew up into a mean, bitter woman. She and her "friends" are blackmailers. One of her victims pays her by getting plastic surgeon Dr. Wegert to try to make her beautiful again.
An unpleasant, bitter woman with a hideous scar on her face blackmails illicit lovers as a form of revenge for a happiness she doesn't know. She even plots to murder a child for his inheritance. But after plastic surgery , she becomes a nicer person and doubts her plan.
