The film is based on the 1962 novel of the same name by James Aldridge and stars Sam Waterston, Aleksandr Potapov and Keir Giles.
Ghostland (also known as Incident in a Ghostland) is a 2018 psychological horror film written and directed by Pascal Laugier. Ghostland was shown in competition at the Festival international du film fantastique de Gérardmer , where it won three awards, including the Grand Prize.
Story outline. While undertaking a meteorological survey of the Arctic the crew of a Dakota aircraft observe a wrecked plane on the ice with one person moving around the area. With the Dakota unable to land Rupert Royce volunteers to parachute down to the wreckage to offer assistance.
An American (Sam Waterston) and a Russian (Alexander Potapov) are stranded together in the Arctic, two men much like their countries.
