Dec 10, 1993 · Thanks to the people who made the emulator, the game seemed to run as good in my Firefox browser (using full screen) as it did on my 386 back in 1993. Just had a brief play and it was great to experience it again, brought back the memories of playing it all night without sleeping back then, lol. Amazing to think the game is 30 years old this year!

This spawned even more adaptations, due to fans porting the code to an array of other devices. The games technology engine was surpassed in the mid-90s, and the popularity of the game tailed off.
Game Description The Settlers (also known as Serf City: Life is Feudal) is a city-building video game with real-time strategy elements, developed and published by Blue Byte Software. Released in Germany for Amiga in June 1993, and in the United Kingdom in November, it is the first game in The Settlers series.
