The 1985 FA Cup final was the 104th final of the FA Cup. It took place on 18 May 1985 at Wembley Stadium, and was contested by Manchester United and holders Everton. United won by a single goal, scored in extra time by Norman Whiteside, when he curled the ball into the net past the reach of Neville Southall after a run from the right.

Teams from the Football League Third and Fourth Division entered in this round plus Telford United, Northwich Victoria, Enfield and Altrinchamwere given byes. The first round matches were played over the weekend of 19–20 November 1983. Replays were played on 21–23 November, or 28 November.
The second round matches were played mainly on 10 December 1983, with a couple of ties and replays being played on 13–14 December, or 19 December.
