RoStock Racing is a relativity simple fast paced NASCAR racing game on Roblox that anyone can play however there are still a vast majority of users who struggle at getting good results in RoStock Racing. This guide is designed to help new and inexperienced players improve their driving/gameplay experience.
How the cars drive and react to each other
First of all, RoStock Racing uses a special realistic contact system called non vision lag, aka NVL. NVL allows for realistic contact with other vehicles and allows everyone to see each other in the same place. Because RoStock racing has collisions turned on, you need to be extremely mindful about your surroundings and where other player cars are positioned on track.
Drafting
Drafting is an important skill needed to succeed in RoStock Racing. Drafting allows you to increase the top speed of your vehicle by simply tucking right behind a car. The more cars lined up directly in front of your car, the more draft you get, thus your speed drastically increases. Skilled players can use the draft to their advance and make overtakes and set themselves up for a slingshot move to win races. Mastering the draft and understanding how it works is key towards getting better finishing results overall in RoStock Racing.
Bump draft
Bump draft takes place when 1 vehicle bumps the rear of a car with their front bumper. If someone hits your rear bumper with the front of their car, your car will gain a slight speed boost for 3 seconds. This feature can be used to help strategically fend off faster cars in the draft and is essential to master if you want to maintain the lead for a longer duration.
