"Hi-Def" is the fourth episode of season four of Raising Hope and the show's seventieth episode overall. It originally aired on November 22, 2013 on Fox.
Virginia is thrilled when her job begins providing healthcare, and she begins seeing doctor Walters. He prescribes her a pair of delightfully-efficient spectacles, but she soon learns that the glasses come not only at full cost (because she couldn't see well enough to read the advertisement) but also that with her new excellent vision, every tiny imperfection around the house begins to stick out at her. Burt, however, has it even worse: he has to have a colonoscopy.
Meanwhile, having just gotten his first smartphone, Jimmy begins competing with Sabrina over gaining followers and making videos on WikiVids (a parody of Vine).
•Coming out of anesthesia following his colonoscopy, Burt says woozily, "That's one in a row for you, Wild Bill!" Garret Dillahunt said this line to Keith Carradine in the series Deadwood, in which Garret portrayed Jack McCall and Carradine portrayed Wild Bill Hickock.
•In one scene, Hope takes a roll from Maw Maw's plate and puts it on her own. However, in the next shot, the roll is back on Maw Maw's plate.
