"The Last Christmas" is the tenth episode of season three of Raising Hope and the show's fifty-fourth episode overall. It originally aired on December 11, 2012 on Fox.
For three years now, Virginia has held the superstitious belief that the world is going to end when the Mayan calendar runs out on December 21, 2012 due to a radio broadcast she heard. Jimmy and Burt both think she's crazy, but Burt has asked Jimmy to play along because he and Virginia are going to have a "love night to end all time" before the world ends. Now, the day has almost arrived, and Virginia still firmly believes the world is going to end.
Being that this is going to be the first Christmas that Hope is old enough to participate in, Jimmy is determined to make it a good one for her. Unfortunately, Virginia's end-of-the-world antics hinder this, but Virginia convinces him that a fair compromise is to hold an early Christmas.
After Virginia lets Hope open all the doors on her advent calendar early, Jimmy gets fed up and tells her how ridiculous she's being and gives away that Burt doesn't believe either, causing him to miss out on his love night.
Virginia insists that the world truly is ending, and, when December 21 comes and goes and nothing happens, becomes grumpy that it didn't.
