Death on the Doorstep. An update of The Doorbell Rang. Archie Goodwin's friend, Barney Sullivan, calls Archie Goodwin and arranges to see him at Nero Wolfes brownstone, but he is shot by a sniper on the doorstep of the brownstone before he can tell Archie what he wanted.
