Sam replaces the previous school mascot, hoping to impress Cindy and getting her to be his girlfriend. Meanwhile, Daniel, Ken, and Kim, suddenly become the basketball team's most rabid fans, following a series of run-ins with the jocks clique from William McKinley High School's rival school, Lincoln High.

Mar 7, 2012 · “We’ve Got Spirit” is one of my absolute favorite episodes so far, and what pushes it into pantheon-level territory for me is the hour’s three comedic subplots, all of which are perfectly integrated into Sam and Lindsay’s narratives and all of which have spectacularly satisfying pay-offs.

Jan 24, 2000 · We've Got Spirit is the ninth episode of the first season of Freaks and Geeks. Lindsay feels her relationship with Nick isn't working out, and tries to break up with him. Sam joins the cheerleaders as their new mascot just days before a big game in order to get closer to Cindy. The Freaks find themselves caught up in the basketball hysteria.
