"The Hidden Man" is the fifth episode of Season 10 of Father Brown.
Chief Inspector Sullivan pays Father Brown a visit to warn him that Hercule Flambeau is on the run and wanted for a series of brutal murders.
When a handkerchief with Flambeau's initials is found at the scene of a murder. Chief Inspector Sullivan is keen to catch him to make up for the previous times he's escaped. He places Sergeant Goodfellow to guard the Father but Flambeau soon makes contact. The first items he ever stole are being stolen back and he knows where the next theft will be...
•This is John Light's eleventh appearance as Flambeau.
•Sullivan sees a chance to return to London disappear, having been banished to Kembleford by a corrupt superior officer in The Winds of Change. He has two telephone calls, apparently to the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, who in 1954 was Sir John Nott-Bower.
