Oct 2, 2023 · The Park owes its existence to the generosity of Henry Clay Frick, a prominent industrialist and philanthropist. In 1919, upon his death, Frick bequeathed 151 acres of land south of Clayton, his Point Breeze mansion, to the city of Pittsburgh. This initial donation served as the foundation for what would become Frick Park.
