  5. Sep 2, 2023 · Freddy was born in March 1989 and arrived at Colchester Zoo in February 2001 from Givskud Zoo in Denmark. Since being at the Zoo, Freddy has fathered 6 calves between 2009 and 2020, contributing massively to the European Breeding Programme for his species which are currently listed as Endangered by the IUCN Red List.
